This week the world lost one of the greatest board-sport innovators to ever live. Jake Burton Carpenter, founder of Burton Snowboards, died of complications arising from his battle with cancer. He was a larger than life influencer in snowboarding, and in board sports as a whole.
For the last year we have been working with one of Burton's charity organizations, the Chill Foundation to help young riders learn to skate and KEEP skateboarding. The Chill Foundation is another example Jake's influence on the world of board sports and his vision to support young people. We are proud to support Chill and more determined than ever to help make a meaningful impact on the lives on young riders in need of some
Earlier this week we combined our launch of the Bonsai Mini #Small-Batch boards with a donation to Chill. Before any boards were sold, we gave away new Bonsai Minis to kids in NYC and Baltimore. These students were finishing up their training and this free board assures that they can take what they learned and KEEP PUSHING.
Our prayers are with the Burton Family and we are thankful to all of you who help us support these missions for good!
