The big race happens once a year, in Central Park. The 22th Anniversary of the Central Park Race. In the past years, there would be up to a thousand skaters participating. About 60 skaters came to the race this year. The number has dropped significantly but the dedicated still come for the love of the movement behind the race. For many, the culture these events bring are everlastng. Legend is, the first race was to determine who is the Fastest skateboarder in NYC.
