Hybrid Sportster review after 2000 miles
I purchased the Hybrid Sportster about a year ago and I loved it so much I just got another. I love my Hybrid, its like a drug and Im addicted. Youll find me ripping it through the city streets in 20*F as long at theyre dry. Whenever I ride it I get awestruck looks from all the people I pass. If you live in the city, youve certainly seen Lime scooters pass you and run reds. This thing will get you from one side of Denver to the other much faster than a car. After 2000 miles its inevitable there will be some battery sag. I can get about 8 miles out of it riding stop and go at max speed which is impressive and Bustin sells replacement parts if you contact their support. Please be extremely careful and where a helmet. 30mph max speed is no joke. I HIGHLY recommend getting a lower angle rear truck baseplate as that will eliminate the possibility of speed wobbles. Look online for a paris/calibur compatible baseplate under 45 degrees. I got the Boardnamics adjustable angle baseplate set to 15 degrees, although it requires you to cut a bit of the deck to fit with the adjustment screws so dont get that one if ur worried about voiding ur warranty. Best thing Ive ever purchased and I hope Bustin is around everytime I need a new one over the rest of my life.
Great board
Busted my self first time out because trucks were too loose and wheel hit the top of board while turning. Tightened trucks to max and it’s much better. Solid board and roll.

An absolute blast
The board is KILLER! It has such a smooth, responsive, and lively ride. No matter on the flats, uphill, or bombing down, the sportster hybrid is purely enjoyable.
This board is the bees knees
I’ve had the hybrid yoface for several weeks now and I absolutely love it. It has been reliable, easy to use, and done more than advertised. It’s great to cruise around the parks and short trips to the grocery store. And it does well enough on a local pump track and really gives you that snowboard/surfing feel when you get the carving feeling. I did upgrade to the ceramic bearings and I think it helped the ride a little as I rode on the originals for a few miles but unfortunately comfort is the one big drawback. I’ve found that any type of sidewalk that creates that railroad like click clack sound, patches of loose gravel, or a web of cracks in the pavement lead to a pretty uncomfortable vibration and jolt to the board and body. If you’d have to encounter these things on a commute or regular basis during your ride I would weigh my options carefully. As much as I love this board that’s the one issue. So far so great! Customer service was excellent as I emailed with a few questions before making my decison and I couldn’t be happier with my mystery box yo face purchase!
